New Members: Morse Lodge has had a successful six months since the beginning of  2009.  In this short period of time, we took in new members Pete Caturay, Dell Conlan, Victor Quach, Clark Smith, Diana Smith, Kim Tang, John Long Tran and Nancy Wong. Nancy took her Initiatory Degree on June 10^th and will be eligible for her First Degree on June 8^th. We look forward to welcoming all of our new members to future meetings and hope we can continue the trend of gaining new members.

Morse Lodge invites members and friends to dinner at the Red Jade, 245 Church Street, 5:30PM on August 5, 2009.  The Thai Corner is unavailable then.  Morse Lodge gladly covers entrees, but please pay out of pocket for alcoholic beverages, appetizers or desserts.

Brian Schlesinger  has planned an event for Saturday, August 29^th, a deep sea fishing excursion. The ship is the Lovely Martha, located at Fisherman’s Wharf Berth #3.  The address is 300 Jefferson Street between Taylor and Jones Streets.  The Lovely Martha is the 3^rd boat to the right of Castagnola’s Restaurant. Since the excursion starts at 6:00 a.m. parking is available at the nearby Anchorage at “Fisherman’s (reduced) rates.”  The excursion lasts until early afternoon and includes the Farallone Islands.  The crew cleans and prepares all fish caught by the passengers for easy carrying to your home. Brian’s trip has already been met with enthusiasm by some Morse members, but Brian would like to have more than the ten person capacity met in case there are cancellations. On September 2, 2009, our new Grand Master Paul Kramer will pay an official visit to Morse Lodge. We have two months to prepare for this event and this is advance information to our membership so that a nice turnout can be a possibility.
